Meow Cosmetics Eye Color Review

Awhile ago I had purchased some eye pigments from Meow Cosmetics and I finally took the time to take photos of all the swatches.  The have so many colors in addition to limited addition/seasonal colors to choose from.

There are several categories of eye pigments, and I purchased from these 3. Here's the description from their company website.

IDEAL EYES (IE) : Our top selling line of mineral shadows!  They're pearlized (or, as we like to think of them, "purrr-lized"!) shadow colors with sophistication.  They're available in a full range of color choices, with a rich, creamy consistency that clings to the brush for easy and smooth long wearing application.  Beautiful colors that catch the light with the soft, glowing, velvety sheen.  Elegant, yet fun, you'll want them all!

MODERN EYES (ME):  With just enough twinkle and sparkle to put some pounce in your step, Modern Eyes is less sparkly than our Scandal Eyes  collection, and more glitzy than our Cat Eyes Matte Shadows.  Perfect for every day, day time wear, you'll want them all!

SCANDAL EYES (SS): Finely milled pure mineral shadows, with extra glimmer and shine for those times when something ordinary just won't do!  Sex?  Politics? Mysteries?  We've got them all, and they're available in a scandalous array of colors, so go ahead,...scandalize your eyes with ScandalEyes!

Breakfast at Kitty's Purrl (IE): a sheer light pink that gives a pretty glow.

Claws-trophobic (IE): A vintage taupe brown.

Huntress (IE): Charcoal purple undertone with a blueish pearl
Catablanca (IE): muted pink with a hint of purple. contains extremely tiny pinkish glitter that's visible upclose
Dusk (IE): Red undertone brown with tiny glitter. more visible glitter than the other IE colors

Pussyfoot (IE):  Pink glow
You had me at Meow Purrl (IE):  pale vintage pinkish taupe with tiny gold glitter
Sunrise (IE): similar to "You had me..." but more taupe colored.

That Cat (IE):  Dark Purple undertone with a royal purple pearl
Fur Flyin (ME): Copper red/brown, low shine
Ducat (ME): sheer gold with dispersed tiny tiny gold glitter

Tracy L (SE): white pearly color with glitter
Paris H. (SE): baby pink pearly color with glitter
Martha S. (SE): lilac with glitter

Courtney L (SE): Dark blueish purple with glitter
Paula L (SE): Dark black purple with glitter
Elizabeth S (SE): Very dark black purple with glitter

Janet J. (SE): Dark red undertoned brown with lots of silver glitter
Lana T. (SE): brown undertone with lots of silver glitter
Christine K. (SE): Dark vintage brown with lots of silver glitter
I wish I could've taken better photos of these colors, but in real life, the undertone color isn't as dark. Just mainly the silver pearly glitter is visible.

Sally H. (SE): silver glittery black brown undertone
Billie H. (SE): silver glittery red brown undertone
Anna S. (SE): silver glittery redish undertone

Lori B. (SE):  Glittery expresso brown
Tonya H. (SE): Glittery leaf green
Patty S. (SE): Glittery royal blue

I feel like these colors can look different according to application.
Applied with a brush (Left), Multiple layers applied with finger (middle), Applied sheer with finger (right)
The application is much more even with a brush but loses much of its glitter, while with a finger, the color is harder to blend but the glitter remains more intact. So best way is to apply with a brush, then with a finger or sponge applicator, pack/dot the glitter on top.

Overall: The colors are beautiful with a lot of selections.  The colors are very beautiful but some of the darker colors are hard to use because the undertone pigment and glitter are hard to control and apply evenly. The glitters are small so they don't look tacky but they do fall off easily, the more you try to blend the color, the more glitter u will brush off.

I probably will repurchase from them again because the colors are too pretty to resist and they offer $1.00 sample size so it's perfect for me to test it out.
